Came here on a case today and will probably stay as long as she lives, which may be long or short. It is a beautiful home and lovely people. How are you and your men getting along. Hope something is doing by this time. By the way, see what you can get a phone put in for and I will try and send money to pay for it, if it isn’t too much. Have a Bell or Bell connection so it can be used for long distance. Iva

Cards, letters, booklet, etc. received this morning. Thanks to all, should have sent this card before but was so busy in getting through I forgot I had it. Seems to me your men are rather slow in getting around. It will take them till the first of July to get through at this rate, so I think it is a good thing I’m not coming any sooner. Love to all. Iva, 18 Henrietta Street

Your letter just received. Sorry you are nursing again. The Phenolax are for the bowels and the Asperin (white tab) are for the Rheumatism. Wish I could be there and help you settle and maybe I can come for a little while if I can afford to loose the time away from work. Hope you will be able to make some sugar this year. Don’t think Aunt V. [Valeria Louise Nelson, age 74] expects to come from what she wrote me. I.M.C.

Have had my time counted and I finish April 10 on your birthday. Ought to have a celebration hadn’t we? If I could only rest then how happy I would be, but I must keep on a little longer. Perhaps it will be better tho as the place in Lawrence wouldn’t be ready by then and I can’t rest till I can be alone. Hope Amanda is better. Iva

Cards and letter received today. Glad to hear from you once more. Had begun to think I was forgotten or the package lost. Amanda (Iva’s half-sister through mother) doesn’t need to worry about robbing/rubbing me, I have plenty for this winter. Hope you all had a merrier Christmas than I. Iva
