Arrived OK but am awful tired. There was a wreck somewhere and the trains were all late, so I didn’t get here till after two. Never left Hartford till after 12. Ate some lunch there and got myself some more after I reached here. Love to all. Iva

Your card received last night. My patient died Monday p.m. but I stayed till last night, as they paid me for the full week. I didn’t want to leave them, it was such a lovely home; but my work was done and duty said go so I had to go. If Elam (Iva’s half-brother through mother) can, have him stop here on his way back from Lawrence. He can phone here to the house and find out where I am, if I am out on a case (cit. phone 38310).
