Dear Mrs. Nelson. I do wish I had time to write you long letter. Hope I will be able to do so before long. Hope you are well and able to take it easy. I do wish I could see your dear face once more. It is long time. With love from Sidney and Minnie

Front of Postcard reads:
December 25. Dear absent one so far away,
we’re doubly missing you today;
But know the warmth of our home nest
Can widely compass East and West,
And that the old love, ever new,
Is reaching yearning arms to you.

Whatever you haven’t shipped, hold now, till you hear otherwise; unless it can be pushed through by Christmas. If all is well we will start the last of next week or first of the next. I may write a letter before we go and send you some freight money, but if I don’t, will write as soon as we arrive, so you can start the freight on its way. I hope the stove is on its way here, but haven’t heard from you, so I don’t know. If you do send anything Sat. be sure to let us know, but don’t send unless it will be pushed through. Iva

Have had one case, but am hoping to have an other and be thru with it in time for Thanksgiving, but can’t say for sure yet. I think this weather will liven work up but haven’t called up yet to see. There were 90 nurses on one list in Detroit about a week ago and 35 on our list Sunday. Have had an offer of a position in the U.M. Hospital at Ann Arbor but didn’t think I cared for it. Please write. Love to all. Iva, 18 Henrietta Street
