Just received a letter from Junia [Iva’s half-sister through father], saying she is settled in her new home and is ready for the organ and will pay the freight. Can I tell Nellie to send it or have you other plans. Chas. [Junia’s husband, Charles H. Craine] is in Beulah looking after his lumber and will stay for the winter and work, as there isn’t any in Harrison. Junia says she is so lonesome I thought if she could have the organ it would help to cheer her up. Elam [Iva’s half-brother through mother] is in the city today and is coming up here to see me about 4:00 p.m. and I have class at 3:00 p.m. Busy day ’round here for this chicken. Wish you was coming today, too. In haste, Iva, U.B.A. Hospital

Dear Mother: put this little calendar in your tablet or writing paper and have it always ready to tell you the date and remember that I will be thinking of you each day of the year. Am still on spec. but the patient is much better, and O! so trying. Wishing you all a “Happy New Year”. As ever with love. Iva [Postcard Postmark: ???]

Dear Mother: I am sending this little messenger today to let you know I am thinking of you even though I cannot make you a gift. Hope you will have a pleasant Xmas and be well remembered with gifts. I am on spec. for a young man with Typhoid and I expect my Xmas will be spent with him. There are two of us on the case, so it is not so hard. He is delirious and has to be watched all the time. I think though he is improving a little. Love and best wishes. Iva

Dear Mother: your letter received today. I suppose you have my letter by this time. My cold is much better. We are having a genuine April shower tonight; thundering and lightening and raining hard some of the time, but nice and warm. it is after 9 and I must go to bed. Have been studying my lesson and it makes me sleepy. With best wishes for a happy Easter and Birthday. I.M.C [Iva May Cooper-Postcard Postmark: ?]
